Get Involved

1) Join us and declare your support for this area of the country.

Our goal is to find 1,000,000 Friends of New Orleans so we can show everyone in this country and beyond that New Orleans and its surrounding parishes matter. We also want to show the nation's decision-makers that there is strong support nationwide to rebuild the region. Become a friend of New Orleans now.

2) Advocate for the Region

Write to everyone you know and tell them to support the rebuilding of New Orleans and its surrounding parishes. Tell them that you support stronger levees, the building of storm surge barriers, and the rebuilding of Louisiana's wetlands. Tell them that you support government providing the financial resources and technical assistance the area now needs to rebuild and come back the right way. Tell them you think the region needs a "hand up" not a "hand out". Tell them that a fair share of the gas and oil revenues generated off the Louisiana shoreline should be given back to the State to use as needed in the rebuilding effort. Stay informed about the issues and involved by joining us now.

3) Make a Contribution

Make a contribution to the neighborhoods that are rebuilding, and the local organizations that are providing services and doing the work in the devastated areas.
